Oh my goodness... I have the cutest and best little boy ever!!! I picked him up from daycare today and he was all excited to see me... bouncing all over the floor! One mom said, "I heard he got excited when you got here but oh my goodness, how cute!" James sure knows how to make a Mommy feel good after a long day at work! When we got home, Mommy had to go potty and James was hanging out in the potty with Mommy until he decided to leave. By the time Mommy caught up with him, he had walked through the master bedroom, down the hall, through the family room, and right outside to the little plastic slide!!!! (Lessons learned: close the door after you let Captain outside, lock James in the bathroom with you when going potty, and James can walk a long further and a lot faster than I thought!!!) But, since he was at the plastic slide, we decided to stay outside and play a little. For James, this included crawling under the patio furniture to find Captain's soccer ball. So cute!

Dinner was fun tonight too!!! We have been working on learning "more" instead of "eee, eee, eee" and pointing when we want more. Also important to let me know if he is still hungry since he eats like a HORSE!!! He said it a few more times tonight which was wonderful! He has also been experimenting with saying his "H". So we tried to learn "hot" tonight and he got it!!!! We shared a quesadilla and I told him it was hot. It was so cute because he was very careful to pick it up because I had told him it was "hot". It was still warm when I gave it to him (but he doesn't like warm foods), so he took it out of his mouth and said "hot"!!! So cute!!! Most of them were actually more like "ho" but he did get the "t" in there once!!!

Now, on to bath time!!! When I was getting him undressed for bath time, I pulled his pants down to his knees but before I could pull his legs out of the pants, James stepped out of them himself. This was as he was moving his clean socks from the basket to the hamper! Thanks buddy, I have enough dirty laundry to do as it is, I don't need to be washing clean clothes too! During James's bath, he took his cup that we use to get him wet and held it under the running water to fill it up. He also learned that banging his head against the wall makes a cool sound so he continued to do that again and again and again but that one was stopped by Mommy! James has not been a fan of getting out of the bath so I started draining the tub and told him that when the water was gone it was time to get out. Well, that little stinker went over to the drain and closed it so the water stopped draining!!!!!!! I could not believe it!!!! I guess he understood! Unfortunately, the mean Mommy again ruined the fun by opening the drain back up and letting the water out followed by making James get out of the tub which resulted in a slight temper tantrum!!! Thankfully it was a short one because asking James to turn the light off fixed everything!

Bed time... James has been wanting to take a stuffed animal to bed every night so Mommy has been choosing a new one each night. James snuggled with Joshie bear and the doggie the last two nights so they are relaxing in James's room on the glider. James kept going over and giving them hugs but Mommy instead chose the snowman for snuggles tonight and put the others back on the glider. As I was getting James's bottle ready for tonight, James walked from the hallway back to his room with the snowman to get Joshie bear off the glider and carry them both back to the living room. Unfortunately, the mean Mommy again told James that he only gets one stuffed animal a night and Joshie bear went back to the glider to snuggle with the doggie. Mommy, James, and the snowman were snuggling so well on the couch tonight that James actually needed a little help holding his bottle. (I think this means that the bottle can change to a sippy cup at night soon! Shhhh! Don't tell James that it's coming because he loves his bottle!) The evening ended wonderfully by James reaching for his crib tonight, then lying down and snuggling up with his snowman and blanket. He even looked back up at me and let me give him two kisses on the forehead. Too sweet!!!! It was such a wonderful night! Mommyhood is the best!

Other fun stuff lately...
- We are doing the transition to big kid milk!!! So far, James hasn't noticed a thing!
- James weighed in yesterday at about 24 lbs fully clothed. He continues to eat like crazy, move like crazy, and grow like crazy!!!!
- The words we now know (they aren't used consistently but we do hear them from time to time): dada, mama, dog, yes, no, hi, bye, more, all done, hot, ball. He has even tried: nice and a few others that I can't think of right now. It is so much fun to hear new words from him all the time!!! In addition to the words, he is still babbling like crazy!!!!
- James gets to start gymnastics on Monday!!! I will try to remember to take a post pictures.

I think that's about all! I have a ton of stuff I need to go do so I better get going.

A few quick pictures for Auntie Lou... These aren't the most recent (from March sometime) but they are the ones I already have loaded onto the computer.

Daddy and James snuggling before bedtime one night.

James went through a phase of not wanting to be fed so I let him try it himself. Not terribly successful so he is thankfully letting me do it again!
Love to all!!!!
