Last weekend, Josh, James, and I flew down to Southern California for a busy 4 days of visiting with and celebrating with lots of family and friends. We started the weekend off with a baby shower honoring our good friend Stacie Ritchie and her little boy on the way. I had a wonderful time visiting with Stacie, her mom and sister, Melissa, Mary, Jill, and Jill's mom Vicki while enjoying a beautiful sunny southern California day!!! Meanwhile, Josh enjoyed a OSU vs. UCLA baseball game with Steve, Bob, Michael, and Gale.
That afternoon we drove down to San Diego to visit with Uncle Scott, Auntie Sarah, Grandpa Dave, and Darlene at Scott and Sarah's new home in El Cajon. We loved getting to visit with everyone and LOVED getting to see their beautiful new home!!! My favorite part was the beautiful pool with the wonderful sunshine, though I quite enjoyed the fire that evening as well as the beautiful new kitchen and wonderful double-sided fire place!
Sunday was busy with a baby shower to honor my friend Jill at her parents' beautiful home in Alpine. I loved getting to see my great friends two days in a row, though I would have loved to get to spend so much more time with them!
After the shower on Sunday, we headed up to San Pedro to enjoy dinner with G.G. Suzie, Auntie Ruth, Uncle Glen, and Auntie Lou. I have to say that James was a great little boy on the plane ride Saturday morning, 2 hour drive Saturday afternoon, and another 2 hour drive Sunday afternoon... thank you buddy!!! Josh, James, and I enjoyed spending Monday and Tuesday playing with G.G.!!!! Here are some cute pictures from our time...
G.G. took James to Target to find a present for James's first birthday. James let G.G. know what he wanted as you can see.
James cruising around... He did an amazing job going up and down G.G.'s step into her family room safely, staying out of the living room, and being a good little boy!!!

After a fun and busy trip, we headed back home. James was a great little boy on the flight even though he was a very tired little boy!
Thank you to all of our friends and family in Southern California for a wonderful trip! We loved getting to see all of you, we only wish we could have visited longer!!!!
