James and Jack were playing in James's room tonight for a few minutes as I was getting things cleaned up from bath and starting a load of laundry. (Aka: Jack was standing at the bookshelf pulling all the books off and James was playing with his dinosaurs.) All of the sudden I hear James, "Mommmmyyyyyy.... Jack hit me!!!" James sounded perfectly fine so I finished what I was doing and went into his room. James proceeded to tell me again, "Jack hit me!" I asked him if he was okay (he obviously was!) and then went on with life. Well, James didn't.... "Mommy, aren't you going to put him in timeout!?!?!?" I tried really hard to keep a straight face but it was simply impossible with James' darling little face and adorable question! I informed him that Jack was too little for a timeout and that everyone was okay. Oh man, I love my boys!!!
James has a new fascination with dinosaurs so I got him 3 $1 plastic dinosaurs from Walmart the other day with some Christmas money. Let's just say that those little guys are James's new little babies... He goes EVERYWHERE with them! He eats with them, he sleeps with them on his bookshelf, he plays with them (and Jack can't touch them), and even puts them in his backpack to take them with us when we leave. The best part (most of the time!) is that he LOVES to bathe them and put lotion on them. He stands on his stool in front of the bathroom sink, fills up the sink with water, and will bathe those dinosaurs over and over and over again! Today dinosaur bath and pamper time lasted an hour! Thankfully this was during Jack's morning nap so Mommy got to shower, get dressed, put make-up on, blow dry my hair (unknown concept!), put my clothes away, clean the toilet, and a few other little things with very little interruption! Until the sink overflowed and water started pouring everywhere when I went to get Jack out of his crib! Nothing a bath towel won't fix and so wonderful to have an hour of "free" time!
Okay, best get off to bed! So many cute stories (and pictures) to share and so little time! Love to all!
