Double ear infections, pink eye, fevers, colds, etc!!!!

Yep... that title pretty much sums up the past two weeks!  Let's just say that it has not been fun!  Instead of going through the whole nasty story let's just sum up diagnoses by person:
Josh: nasty cold (aka the lucky one!)
Jen: pink eye, fever, nasty cold, no voice
James: nasty cold, fever, double ear infection (left over from Christmastime, I think), pink eye
Jack: nasty cold turned into bronchitis, high fever, double ear infection, pink eye

Over the past two weeks, we have made 2 trips to the pediatrician, 2 trips to urgent care, and 1 trip to the ER.  Poor little Jack was so sick that Josh took him into the ER where they did a chest x-ray.  (I was at a course for work in San Jose so Josh had to play Doctor Daddy and did a great job!)  They determined that he didn't have pneumonia but that he did have bronchitis.  After 3 days of being practically passed out in our arms and 3 days of being a little fussy man, I think my little guy is finally back today and I am so thrilled!  I missed his smiling little face so much!!!

Since James was the first one to get sick, he was also the first one to get better; which meant he was full of energy and life as always, while Jack was passed out in our arms.  Thankfully, James got to join Gaga and Papa for a weekend away at the cabin!!!  His first weekend away from Mommy and Daddy!  He had an awesome time and didn't even miss us!!!  (This makes me feel much better about our trip to Hawaii in a few weeks!!!)  During his little getaway to the cabin, James got to go cross country skiing for the first time and did a wonderful job from what I am told.  I loved getting to see the pictures, hear the stories, and see how excited James was about it too!  I can't wait to go skiing with him next time!

So, after two weeks of modified quarantine, I am so ready to go play again!  We have started to make short little trips out of the house... the grocery store, a walk around the block, etc but can't wait for us all to be completely healthy again!  And we better be in 9 days because we are headed to Southern California on February 4th (if we are healthy enough!)  James, Jack, and I are going for 9 days and Josh is going to join us for a long weekend in the middle.  We can't wait to visit family, friends, and MICKEY MOUSE!!!!  I think Mommy may be more excited about this than anyone else!  (Surprise, surprise!)  I will try to take lots of pictures to share when we get back.

Hope everyone else is feeling much better than us!  (I haven't forgotten about Christmas pictures... I just haven't found the time yet!)
