Wow Jack!

Jack is getting so big lately and continues to amaze me daily!  He is starting to talk more and more each day but it's still quite challenging to understand him.  Bot = milk.  Tan do = Thank you.  Sta = Stuck.  Etc but we are getting there and he keeps trying.  He is quite skilled in the "Mommy" and "Daddy" department, especially in the middle of the night or the middle of nap lately!  I asked the pediatrician about his language the other day and he said that he should have about 5-6 words at this point, we definitely have that!  Then after James delivered a speech to Dr. Wang, he clarified with, "Just make sure that his big brother doesn't speak for him too much!"

A few amazing Jack stories from this weekend...

Jack and I were playing when Jack realized that Daddy and James were gone.  He asked, "Daddy?" so I told him that Daddy and James went to Daddy's work to get some more boxes.  Jack then got a very concerned look on his face and started pulling Josh's work backpack over toward the front door with quite a bit of determination because the backpack is heavy!  I kept telling him that Daddy didn't need his backpack today but he continued to be very concerned!  I finally called Josh and asked him to tell Jack that he didn't need his backpack today at which point Jack finally let go of the backpack and went back to playing.  It was amazing to see the correlation that Jack made!

Tonight after dinner, Jack went running off with the remote control.  Josh asked him to bring the remote to him but Jack just stood there and stared at him.  Josh finally told him that he would count to 3, otherwise he would have a timeout.  Jack stood there during the count to 3 and stared at Josh.  After 3, Josh told him to go sit in timeout so Jack put the remote control down and slowly walked over to his timeout spot and sat down by himself.  It was so cute to see him sit down in timeout all by himself and see the little pouty face when he did it!

One more... I was having a little discussion with Jack on the couch tonight about sleeping through the night (it didn't work because Josh just got back from his room!).  I told him that if he wakes up in the middle of the night that I want him to put his head back down and go back to sleep with no crying or screaming for Mommy.  I then said, "Okay, Jack?  Got it?".  My reply, "No."  James was still finishing his dinner and thought this was the funniest thing as he started busting up laughing!  What am I going to do with these boys!!!  :-)

Bed time!  I'll try to write more later and update with pictures soon too (when I find the time of course!)  Love to all!
