My First Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day yesterday was wonderful thanks to my terrific husband, wonderful baby, and great family! James started the celebrating off by sleeping for 6 straight hours!!!! That meant I got 4.5 hours of uninterupted sleep!!!!! Pretty amazing for a 3.5 week old if I do say so myself! (If only that happened every night!) Then I got a gift certificate for a relaxation package from my hubby (and baby) which includes a massage, facial, and pedicure! Sounds great to me and gave me the motivation to start pumping today so I can save enough milk to go to the spa for 3 straight hours! (It's going to take awhile, I only got 3/4 oz today and need at least 4 oz.) I also got homemade blueberry pancakes compliments of Daddy. Thank you!!!! And then a delicious lunch at the First Street Alehouse. Did you know all their meals come with a Tootsie Pop!??!?! How cool is that!?!?!? I guess simple minds, simple pleasures but I thought that it was the coolest thing! Thank you to everyone for a wonderful first Mother's Day!!!
Sorry it is crooked, but here is a cute picture Auntie Michellie took of James sticking his tongue out. We had to leave after this because it was evidence that James had spent too much time with his Grandma Kim already!!

Other fun stuff from the weekend...
- I got to go on a shopping spree with Mommy at Kohl's!!! Got a few cute shirts that hide the belly that still remains and a few cute new tops for the summer. Also got some motivation to eat better and move a little more so I can properly fit into my clothes again!

- James was wide-awake and happy as can be for 4 hours straight on Saturday!!! He is usually only awake for about an hour or two at a time so this was quite a surprise for us. My little boy is growing up!

- I tried sleeping in the same room as James on Thursday night... he got moved to the other room that morning!!! I woke up every time he started wimpering, resulting in very little sleep for me! Just reaffirmed our decision to have James sleep in his own room at home!!!

- Lynette's baby shower was tons of fun and it was so wonderful to see Lynette, Florence, Kate, and Nicole again! They are the greatest girls! I can't wait for baby Allison to be here, only a few more weeks!!!

I think that's about all for now! I am going to try to get a few chores done around the house before James decides that he is hungry again! Love to all!!!
