So busy...

We have been very busy since the last post! We split the weekend between Livermore, "camping", and home. On Saturday, we all attended Jill's graduation ceremony from Las Positas where she gave a wonderful valedictorian speech! A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Jill for all her hard work and dedication to do so well over the past several years! James was a great little boy sleeping with Grandma Kim through most of the ceremony. I had the wonderful experience of getting to breastfeed in bleachers for the first time with people 360 degrees around me and stadium seating behind me for the best view! It was a new challenge but with the help of Mommy and Josh, I think I was successful!

Sunday was a VERY long but fun day! We went on a pseudo-camping trip with Josh's family. Let me explain... Josh's family goes on a camping trip every Memorial Day weekend but we decided that 6 1/2 weeks was a little early for James to be camping. But, we really wanted to see Scott and Sarah who were only 3 hours away instead of 8 hours away in San Diego so we drove down for the day. Again, James did wonderful by sleeping the whole car ride down and back (yeah!) and being a great little boy during the day. I was a little nervous because it was so hot out but I did lots of water drinking and James did lots of milk drinking so we both stayed pretty hydrated throughout the day. And, a big thank you to Josh for doing all the driving so I could catch a few zzz's.

Unfortunately, the zzz's didn't work as well as I had hoped because I woke up Monday morning with a sore throat which has now also spread into my sinuses. Luckily, I don't have to worry about getting anyone sick because James got it first, passed it along to Josh, who then shared it with me. Oh well, it happens! I am learning that humidifiers not only work for babies but work for mommies too!

Yesterday we celebrated Memorial Day with a delicious BBQ at Michelle and Gary's new place which looks wonderful! It is so clean (a novel concept for Michelle) and their new couch looks great! We even got to meet Gary's parents and sister who were so sweet and fun to hang out with!

Today has been a wonderful day!!!! Joshie took the day off to spend with James and I and we have loved it! I got to sleep in this morning (yeah!) while Josh got to enjoy James during his happiest time - morning. We then enjoyed a nice long walk along the river - the reason we moved to Folsom! It felt so good to get out and get some exercise but I'm afraid I may be feeling it tomorrow because I haven't walked that far in almost 2 months! Oh well, I have to get back into the exercise thing eventually!

Guess that's about all for now. James just fell asleep so I am going to go catch a little zzz's before he wakes up and is hungry again! Hope everyone is doing well! Love to all!!!
