Baseball

James got a baseball tee for his birthday and loves it!!!  Josh and I are continually amazed at how well he can hit the ball off the tee.  He can hit a line drive a good 20-30 feet in the air!!!  I think we may need to get a bigger backyard, a taller fence, or really friendly with our neighbors once the balls start going over the fence!  James has also started using his small bat to hit soft balls in the house.  He will hold the ball in one hand, think forever, then swing the bat and drop the ball at just the right time to hit it.  It's amazing because he can pretty consistently hit the ball a good 15 feet this way.  I am just amazed at the hand-eye coordination it takes to do that!!!
James also has a recent love for broccoli!! I have no idea where this came from because he has NEVER eaten broccoli until this past week.  We always tried, he would chew it a little bit, then spit it out.  Well, I have been buying the Green Giant Steam Fresh bags of broccoli with cheese sauce and James LOVES them!  When I tell him that it's almost time for lunch or dinner, he has been asking me if we are having broccoli!  It's just a complete shocker to me but I am LOVING it!!!  I think I may need to buy a few more bags of the broccoli and soon! (Maybe someone should tell him that it's spinach that Popeye eats to get stronger!)
I am so proud of how well James has been playing with his friends.  A few weeks ago, he was a PILL at the doctor's office so I didn't let him play with his friend Isa (don't tell him that she wasn't home anyway!) and ever since then he has played MUCH nicer with his friends!  It's such a relief and makes playdates so much more enjoyable for Mommy!
I am also extremely proud of Jack's sleeping habits lately.  The last two nights he has gone to sleep between 8-9pm and woken up for his first feeding at 4am!!!!  How awesome is that!!!  Then he wakes up again around 6:30 and if I put him in the swing or hold him, he will sleep until 8ish!  I couldn't ask for anything more at this age, other than it continuing of course!  (Or getting better!)  Jack also put himself to sleep for the first time tonight.  Josh rocked him to sleep and put him down in his crib, Jack woke up and looked around a little, then fell back to sleep!  How awesome is that!!!  I also must brag (and knock on wood) that Jack has been amazing at night about getting up to eat then going straight back to bed.  Thank you buddy!!!
Guess that's about all!  I need to get to bed so I can take advantage of both boys sleeping and get some rest myself.  Good night to all!!!
