Out of the mouths of babes...

(Great Grandma Whichard... you will enjoy the first story but the second story is one you will want to skip.)

As I was lying down with Jack tonight before bed, I reached over to hold his hand and taught him that if you squeeze someone's hand 3 times it means "I love you."  Then I asked him, can you squeeze Mommy's hand 3 times?  He lets go of my hand, holds his other hand, and squeezes 3 times as he says, "I love me, I love me!"  :-)

James loves to look for snails, worms, bugs, and snakes...  I swear it's in boys' DNA!  Thankfully we have only found small sharp tail snakes (slightly larger than a worm) in our yard and no rattlesnakes yet which are common in the area.  Yesterday morning James was looking under all the rocks in our front yard for any kind of bug, etc and I hear, "Mommy!  Snake!"  Thankfully it was a little sharp tail so we found a little container to catch it and take it to the lake; however, James somehow convinced us to keep the snake as a pet instead of taking it to the lake.  Cut to tonight as we are leaving the pet store with a new tank for the snake and the new knowledge that we need to mist the snake 3 times a day with a spray bottle.
Me: "James, we need to go to the Dollar Store to get a squirt bottle for your snake."
James: "No we don't, we have one at home."
Me: "We do? Where?"
James: "Yeah, the one you got from the doctor when you got the baby!"
Me: "We're going to the Dollar Store!"
How do they remember these things?!?!?!?  :-)

Quick size update since we went to the doctor today for a yearly check-up for James and Jack.  James is now 43 3/4 inches tall (with Crocs on) (95th percentile) and 42 lbs. (85th percentile). James continues to be my big kiddo!  He is full on wearing 5T clothes and I'm even having to loosen the waist bands on some of them.  Getting ready for another growth spurt possibly!

Jack is 30lbs (70th percentile) and 34 inches (I think)(20th percentile).  I may have to remeasure Jack's height because that seems a little shorter than I expected.  :-)  Jack has finally tripled his birth weight which is supposed to happen by age 1... he finally got there 14 months later!  :-)  Let's just say that Jack is thick!

Jonathan is 14lbs. 4oz. (6th percentile!).  My little squirt rocking the 6th percentile!!! Way to go buddy!  Jonathan finally got upgraded to 6 months clothes last week, 10 days before he turns 6 months!  (No worries everyone, Jonathan has always rocked the 5th-10th percentile so he is growing right along his curve!)

Love all my little squirts!!!!
