Jonathan's 6 month check-up

Jonathan had his 6 month check-up today... he is growing perfectly!!!!  He continues to be my little peanut at 14 lbs. 9 oz. (10th percentile), 23.75 inches long (25th percentile), and head circumference around the 50th percentile.  He is starting to sit up for short periods but tends to do much better sitting with the boppy or bumbo to help!  Even though Jonathan is a little peanut, he is LOVING food!!!  He will tolerate his bottles but gobbles down pears, peaches, banana, prunes, avocado, sweet potatoes, greek yogurt, oatmeal with applesauce and cinnamon, and carrots.  He even tolerates green beans and broccoli though his big brother Jack tells me, "Jona no like broccoli, like pears!"
Jonathan is my little sweetie pie!  He loves to laugh, smile, and giggle!  And I love to hear him laugh and smile like crazy!  He is rolling all over the place and even starting to scoot around if there is something he REALLY wants.  It seems like his favorite place to roll is underneath the TV stand or wedged between the TV stand and car seat!  Crazy boy!  He also has a new love for his exersaucer and all the fun toys on it!
Jonathan continues to miss Mommy around 4am every morning and insists on a little snuggle session (aka... nursing) before his 6:30am final wake-up call.
Jonathan LOVES both of his big brothers!  I love seeing the amazing relationship that James and Jonathan have!  James will occasionally feed Jonathan lunch while I make lunch for everyone else.  Jack is usually close by supervising too!  James has started to be my little helper by sitting on the floor and holding Jonathan so I can do something quickly with 2 hands while we are out and about.  My absolute favorite is when James asks for Jonathan to lie down with him before nap time.  They will lay on the floor and "chat" for a few minutes which just melts my heart!  Jack loves his little brother too but in more of a 2-year-old way!  Jack asked to hold Jonathan on the couch yesterday which lasted about 4 seconds before he tried to kick him off!  Jack has also been quite vocal in informing Jonathan which toys are his and which ones are "too big" for him!  But like I said, Jack will also try to protect his brother from horrible things like green beans and broccoli and gets quite upset if we go somewhere without Jonathan!
We all love Jonathan to pieces and can't believe he is already 6 months!!!  Josh was helping Jonathan stand up and take a few steps in the family room last weekend when I looked out from the kitchen to see 3 little Slade boys (and one big Slade boy!) standing!  Yikes, I know it's only a few more months before I have 3 little ones moving all over!!!  Not ready!!!!  :-)  But so looking forward to it too!  :-)
