Maine trip

I realized that I haven't written in a while and there is a ton to write... First of all, we are having a great time on vacation!!! I have missed Maine so much so I am loving being here. We are having a great time!!! Let's start from the beginning... the flight out here was a long day but James was great! I was so thankful for that because I was very worried that he would scream the entire flight. The first few nights here were rough because James was sleeping in our room so we woke each other up and he didn't have a mobile. Come to find out, he LOVES his mobile and goes to sleep so much easier with it. So we got him a mobile from Walmart and put a portacrib in the small room under the stairs (aka large closet) and we are all sleeping much better. James is channeling Harry Potter with his sleeping location!!! Tonight I put him to sleep on his back like I always do and, when I checked him on the monitor a few minutes later, I could barely see him which I thought was strange. That was because he had almost rolled onto his stomach but was getting stuck on his arm. I was so proud!!! He is going to be rolling in no time... yikes!!!
James is also starting to get his teeth!!! His new favorite activity is chewing on his hand and drooling so we took a look in his mouth tonight and can see that his bottom gums are quite white. There is even one little white spot that looks as if it is about to pop through the gums!!! Feeding James may become very interesting soon!!!
James has also gotten to do some swimming in the lake since he has been here! The first day I put his feet in the water and he screamed!!! The next day we let him feel the dry sand, then the wet sand, then let the water wash up on his feet, then put his feet in, and finally he enjoyed sitting at the edge of the lake with his feet in. It was very fun to watch the water bring in a little boat then have James kick it back out and the water to bring it in again. It was fun to watch!
I guess that's about all for now! I can't believe the week has gone by so fast and Josh is going home soon. I am going to miss him so much but thankful that I get to stay a little longer because I am not ready to go yet. Hope everyone is doing well! Love to all!!!
