It is so much fun watching James in this crib using the video monitor!!! We put James to sleep at night then sit here and watch him on the video monitor until he falls asleep, sometimes for 30 minutes! Last night he slept from 9pm (late bedtime because of his Uncle Doug's 21st birthday party which he attended) to 7am!!! It was awesome! I can only wish for the same tonight! He usually wakes up about 4am and started to this morning but then was back asleep very quickly. Come to find out, he found his thumb which helped him fall back to sleep! Then this morning he was pulling his knees up under himself while sleeping on his belly, so cute!
Tonight he has been moving around like crazy! He can usually roll from back to stomach in his crib but then will scream if he wants to go back to his back. Then we go in a roll him back over and he does it again! (See previous posting!!!) Well, tonight he rolled onto his stomach then back to his back and over and over again. And, during the day he usually uses his head to roll stomach to back but in his crib tonight he pulled his legs up under him so his butt was up in the air and used his legs to push himself back over. So cute and so impressive! Especially to Mommy and Daddy!
We also have an official thumb sucker on our hands! It's great for helping him fall asleep by himself but we're trying not to let him suck it too much. We'll see how it goes!
We had a fun and late evening last night celebrating Douglas' 21st birthday with the whole family, including Ross and Derek. It was fun to all hang out together and a big thank you to all the Livermore people for coming up to Folsom to save us Folsom people a VERY quick trip to Livermore last night. It was great to celebrate and a little scary how old Douglas is getting. My brother is a big kid now! (Not quite an adult since he is younger than me and I am still just a big kid too!)
