I figured out what the wrong side of the bed problem yesterday was due to! I checked yesterday but I guess I just missed it or they weren't ready to say hi yet. The doctor found two new teeth making their appearance today! That explains the fussiness (that along with my son being opinionated!)
Quick update... the doctor says that James appears to be doing great (and I agree of course!) He weighs in at 27.5 lbs which is the 75th percentile still. His head circumference is the 75th percentile still. And he is 34 inches tall which is the 95th percentile. James knows most of his body parts very well but when the doctor asked James where his nose was, he pointed to his mouth! And James knows his animal sounds very well but when the doctor asked him what a lion says his whispered a little tiny "roar". Crazy boy!!! James also got two shots today. He was a little more upset about them today than he usually is and after they were done he told the doctor "bye-bye" and refused to give him a high-five! So cute! It was very interesting to me because I usually go in with a full list of questions for the doctor but today I only had one or two random questions only because I felt like I should ask something! I was thinking about why that is and I decided that the first year of life is about keeping them alive. Once you get to the second year, you have learned how to keep them alive and it's more about teaching them how to become a good person (a little harder task I have decided and not really something the doctor can answer for you unfortunately!) Hey, at least we have figured out how to keep him alive, the teaching him how to be a good person creates a new challenge everyday! (And will continue to for the next 10, 18, 35, 50 years, I am guessing!)
Quick cute story... James decided twice today that he wanted to go for a walk. So, he pulled the red wagon out from under the ping pong table, strapped in his bear, got his stuffed doggie and ball, and crawled into the seat himself. He then requested that his milk be placed in the circle and we were off!!! Our walk this morning took us to the park where James went down the swirly slide all by himself several times and told Mommy to "stop" when I tried following him around on the play structure. He did a fabulous job by himself with Mommy running around on the ground where he was. After I put him in the swing, he pointed at the big kid swing and told Mommy to "sit" so we could swing together. So precious!!!!
Anyway, all in all, we had a fabulous day!!! Off for bathtime and to say hi to Auntie! Love to all!
