James had lots of firsts today...
- He started with sleeping wonderfully through the night (after two lame-o nights) which thrilled and scared Mommy. I woke up at 1:40am and went straight to his room scared that he hadn't woken up yet. Thankfully he was still sleeping soundly (and still breathing) much to my delight. Same routine at 4am! This morning we learned the source of the lousy sleeping the previous two nights, his FIRST TOOTH!!!! Yes, James has his first tooth (the bottom left one) starting to pop through!
- Next up was standing at the couch which James has become quite proficient at, except this time he chose to wander down the couch a few steps. People we have CRUISING! He did a little more this afternoon but only to the left and even transitioned from the couch to the coffee table (which are touching). Uncle Doug: You will be happy to hear that the toy that got him moving was the remote control again! Thanks bro!
- James also had a little visit to the doctor's office today for his second flu shot. The doctor said he looked great and healthy, yea James! James weighed in at 20 lbs. Wowzers! As for the shot, James wimpered once for about 2 seconds, then was a happy camper again! Such a brave big boy!
- And finally, James STOOD UP IN HIS CRIB today for the first time. He has been working on this for the past few days but finally got it today. I was so proud of him but even more proud that he got back down by himself! By the way, James's naps today consisted of lying down, sitting up, lying down, rolling over, crawling, sitting up, standing up, sitting down, lying down, rolling over, and VERY LITTLE SLEEPING! Let's hope that he decides to nap at some point!
Guess that's about all for now. I have tons of stuff to do to get ready for some baby showers in the next few days. We now have 14 family and friends pregnant and due between Christmas and July! Yikes!!! No drinking the water for me, I'll stick to wine!
