Labor Day

I hope everyone had a great Labor Day!!! We hung around home so we could work on little one's naps and get stuff done, only the former was accomplished! James is getting much better at taking naps in his crib. Only took him 10 minutes of fussing this morning to fall asleep!!! Hopefully it's a long nap!

We did get out to have some fun too! On Sunday afternoon we went over to our friends', Mike and Ashley's, house for a little get together. James was supposed to take a little nap when we got there but decided there was too much fun stuff going on and the nap wasn't going to happen. We let him get up and play and he was a joy so it was all good. Until he crashed in the car on the way home and didn't want to go to sleep that night. But it all worked out! It was great to hang out with friends again, we realized it had been quite some time since we had been over to the Flemming household! Hopefully we can get back to hanging out more frequently again, but who knows with little Tyler on his way! Ashley had been having braxton-hicks contractions all day so we were all excited that there may be some labor on Labor Day but no such luck!

Monday afternoon we got to spend hanging out with Michelle and Gary at their pool. I have to say it was one of the few times I have really relaxed since the little man has been around. I am always nervous about when James is going to start crying and if I am going to be able to quiet him down and how long it will take, but now that he is napping on a schedule, he is a much happier baby and I am a much more relaxed mommy! Plus it was great to have extra hands who wanted to play with the little guy. James enjoyed some play time in the pool with all of us (though it was only his feet that got wet since the water was a little chilly)! It's amazing how small is rash guard is already, especially compared to when we were in Maine. It's a good thing summer time is almost over!

Guess that's about all for now! I am going to hop in the shower while James is sleeping then hopefully find a few minutes to relax on the couch/sleep. James somehow knows when I do that... yesterday I sat down on the couch at 1:01pm to rest and James woke up from his nap at 1:02pm, how does he do that! oh well, we'll try again today!!! Love to all!
