We got to welcome two new, precious babies into the world this week: Welcome to Baby Tyler and Baby Ashlyn! It is going to be wonderful to have new friends for James to grow up and play with!
Meanwhile, James is growing like crazy!!! We have been working on naps for the past month or so and they are going pretty well. This week, we decided to work on nighttime, or more importantly, early morning sleeping. James was always an early riser (about 5:30am) but lately he has decided that the 4 o'clock hour was sounding good and staying up after that! Not sounding so good to Mommy! Well, we have been working on it and James has slept until 6:30 and 7am the last two mornings!!! I can get used to this!!! With the extra sleep, we are also returning to a happier baby again because he is more rested again. I swear that we are going to get this sleep thing down just in time for him to teeth and then be up again all night! I will just enjoy the rest and take advantage of it as much as possible while I can.
James is also becoming much more active!!!! He is rolling over like no tomorrow and loves to lie on his belly to play with his toys. When toys are just out of his reach, he thinks that lifting his arms and legs off the floor, like it is hot lava, for a few seconds will get him closer to the toy. Unfortunately, it hasn't worked for him yet! He is also getting up onto his hands and knees, rocking back and forth once or twice, then lying back on his belly. This also results in some scooting backwards but not much forward movement yet! James's sitting is getting better but he still has to have someone closeby because there are quite a few "timbers" still!
James is continuing to grow like crazy and eat like a Slade boy! He is now eating carrots, yellow squash, sweet potatoes, avocados, bananas, black plums, peaches, and oatmeal. Of course, some are more well loved than others but we are having fun introducing new foods to him and making food for him!
Guess that's about all for now! Gotta go to bed!!! Love to all!!!
