Baby Jack Pictures

I finally got around to adding some pictures of the past week or so!  There are so many pictures to choose from but here are just a few....

The new little family!  It was so cute to see how excited James was that his Baby Brother Jack was finally here!  We tried to explain that Baby Jack came out of Mommy's belly.  James asked to see Mommy's belly and was quite confused because most of Mommy's belly was still there!

 It didn't take long for Josh to get Jack into a Cal hat!!!  I will also have you note that the onesie Jack is wearing is a 3 month size!  None too big as you can see!  This Mommy didn't quite trust the doctor that Jack was going to be an average size baby so I actually brought more 3 month clothes than newborn clothes.  When it comes to size, the nurses moved Jack from newborn diapers to size 1 diapers about 8 hours after he was born.  At our hospital, the babies are dressed in little shirts that wrap across their body.  Needless to say, the shirt had to be STRETCHED to fit across Jack so we asked the nurse if they had a larger size.  She said they didn't but said she would check with pediatrics!  Luckily, we found a larger one in a drawer and then the nurse went through the linen cart and found a few more larger ones.  Crazy!  Though Jack was almost a pound larger than James at birth, it has been interesting to see how their proportions are different.  James had a smaller head (25th percentile) and Jack's head is larger (75th percentile) which we have noticed with how the little hats are fitting.  We are also noticing that Jack's hands and feet are smaller than James's were.  There were socks that never fit James that fit Jack just perfectly.  It will be interesting to see how this works out as they grow!

Such a little cutie with his eyes open.  Jack was hesitant to open his eyes much the first few days but has been much more awake in the last few days.  We said that Jack couldn't open his eyes much because his cheeks were too big!  Today Jack was awake for almost 30 minutes and it was so much fun to just play and chat with him!
