Coming Home with Baby Jack

A few pictures of Jack's first few days...

Here are Josh, Jack, and I as we are leaving the hospital.  Notice the huge belly still... no wonder James was confused when I said Jack came out of Mommy's belly!  A little math problem for all of you... how is it that I delivered a 10 lb child (plus all the junk that comes along with him) and only lost 5 lbs!!!  Luckily I have now lost about 20 lbs but that still leaves 13 to go!  Slowly but surely!

Jack and Papa out for a walk!

James enjoying his new tricycle that Baby Jack brought for him!

Here is the topper... I got poison oak (really badly!) about a week before Jack was born!  I had it under control with Zyrtec but didn't take it the day Jack was born and it got completely out of control!  I was basically miserable from it and was covered in the stuff!  And when I say covered, I mean my face, ear, eyelids, chin, wrists, hands, palms, arms, stomach, legs, and feet, so let's just say COVERED!!!  I finally went to urgent care on Easter Sunday and the doctor there recommended and prescribed Prednisone.  After talking with many people and doing lots of research, I decided not to take the Prednisone while nursing.  Thankfully the poison oak started getting better the next day and has continued to slowly improve.  I am happy to say that it is almost gone!!!!  Thank goodness!!!  Through all the recovery of having a 10 lb child, the worst part was the poison oak!

My little cutie patootie!!!

 My newest little cutie patootie!!!!

When the nursing cover (aka "hootie hider") is not in use, it becomes a fabulous cape!!!

I would love to tell more stories but that was so long ago now that I don't remember any!  That or maybe it is just too late at night and I'm too tired to remember any now.  I may just have to skip to current times so I can remember the cute stories!
