Shared Bathtime

We tried something a little new today... the boys got to take a bath together!  The baby bath fits perfectly perpendicular across the tub so Jack had half the tub and James had the other half.  James got in first and got all cleaned up then Jack got to join him.  James was a great helper!!!  He was using his little cup to scoop water up from Jack's bathtub and pour it on his feet.  He also helped wash Jack's belly with a little soap.  Jack loved the water and loved getting to watch his big brother play in the bathtub.  Josh did a great job getting both of them washed up while I played runner and helper to Daddy.  The boys then laid down together in Jack's room to get their lotion and PJs on.  So cute to see them hanging out together!  I am so looking forward to them getting to play together but still trying to cherish the times now too!  We then had both boys in bed by 9pm!!!  (This would have been 8:30 had it not been for the 3 trips that James had to make to the potty to go pee-pee and poo-poo.  Gotta love potty training!)  Hopefully that will leave enough time for Josh and I to get the house cleaned up and to bed at a reasonable time!

I also have to share that I got a cool new carrier yesterday!  Jack loves to be held (must be a second child thing Michelle!) which can become challenging when I am trying to change James's diaper or get James fed or help James go potty or any number of other things.  On Friday (at James's birthday party), I busted out a shoulder sling that I had in the closet and Jack loved it!  And I loved it because it freed up a hand.  But I didn't feel totally comfortable with taking both hands off.  My friends have raved about the Moby wrap so I bought one from Craigslist yesterday and tried it out today.  At first Jack screamed but I think that was more fatigue, as soon as we walked outside he was a happy camper and fell right to sleep.  Having Jack all snuggled against me allowed James and I to walk to the park and gave me two free hands to hold things and hold James's hand.  I am looking forward to having fun with my Moby wrap and having two hands free again!!!
