I was lucky enough to get called off from work today (due to low census) so I got to stay home and play!!! Poor Josh said he was jealous! Unfortunately, it was probably my last one for quite a while because I have two co-workers going on maternity leave in succession so we will be a little short for the next 8 months or so. Bummer! I have to enjoy it when it comes!!!!
Josh suggested we use our extra day of play to visit the Nimbus Fish Hatchery. James loves to feed the fishies (Chinook Salmon) outside and then look around the visitor's center too. Here are a few cute pictures from the day...
James hiding under the roots of a tree. I tried to let Jack sit with him but James said "no!" Bummer!
James joined these employees/volunteers in watching the little movie about the salmon. He spent much of the movie chatting with the gentleman next to him. So cute to listen to their conversation!
After James's "afternoon nap" (aka an hour and a half of quiet time in his room) and two short naps from Jack, we took a little walk to the park before dinner. Jack is finally old enough to sit in the swings!!! He got some very small pushes but mainly just sat there mesmerized by James.
Happy boy!!!!
Mesmerized by our big brother James swinging back and forth and back and forth! So cute to see how much Jack completely loves his big brother!!!! Tanya says that if Jack is fussy, she will ask James to talk to him and Jack will calm right down.
Jack is becoming much more mobile (rolling, spinning, scooting backwards, rocking on all fours) and much more challenging to dress!
James has been LOVING his train table recently. I think he could probably play there just about all day long!
Jamers is getting so big! When did that happen!?!??!
For those of you who are still curious about Jack's eye color... they continue to be a dark blue. Completely gorgeous, just like him!!!!
