Jack's First Food!!!!

I was going to wait until our life slowed down a little (yes, that actually does happen on occasion!) to have Jack start solids.  Jack decided that waiting was not an option!  I am used to getting home from work around 6pm and then having dinner, dishes, unpacking from the day, etc to worry about and Jack going to bed at 7pm.  With all that craziness, I didn't want Jack to start solids on a work day but now that we have a nanny, I am home from work with relative calmness shortly after 5pm!!!  Well, last Wednesday, Jack was still fussy and hungry after nursing so I decided that we better start rice cereal....

 We started in the high chair but Jack wasn't quite big enough for it and the tray kept getting in the way.

 So we decided to move to the Bebe Pod seat.  And ditch the now soaked clothes!!!  With each bite, Jack will suck on his fingers to help the food go down.

Hi Momma!!!!

He is loving his food!  By day two, he was grabbing my hand to shove the spoon in his mouth!  Thus far, I have only been feeding Jack at dinner while we eat.  Yesterday at lunch, he saw all of us eating and started making noise while looking at me so I made him a little cereal and he was happy!!!!
