When I was pregnant with James, I remember one nurse at work who used to be a midwife tell me one day as I was walking down the hall, "You have a lot more baby in there than you realize!" I didn't totally believe her but those words just stuck with me. Later, when we asked by OB how big she thought James would be, she told us around 7-8 lbs. Well, as we all know, James was a whopping 9lbs. 3 oz.! I guess the nurse at work was right!
So I saw the same nurse at work today and asked her how big she thought this one would be. After asking a few questions and feeling my belly, she said, "If you go to term, I think he will be at least 8lbs 12-14oz or over 9lbs! Yikes!!! So much for measuring small and thinking I would have a smaller one! Maybe Jack will do his Mommy a favor and come 1-2 weeks early so he can be a petite little 8lbs!!! I guess we'll just have to wait and see!
