Shopping Spree

Thanks to Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Whichard, James got to go on a little shopping spree yesterday.  They gave him some money for Christmas which they wanted spent on toys so we decided what better way to find something that James would enjoy but let James go shopping himself.  We started in the book section where James found a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse coloring book and a Truck book that James really enjoys when playing at his friend Isa's house.  He also found a little red car in the book section that he loved!  Then off we went to the toy section....

 James made sure to check out all the train, truck, and car stuff...

 But we ended up in the ball section of course!

 James found a basketball that was just his size!  I think this was perfect because James really enjoys watching people play basketball at the park and quite enjoyed playing a little basketball at the park himself last week.  It was amazing to see him bounce the ball a few times!!! 

Let me tell you... the basketball and car were HUGE hits!!!  He slept with both that night and when he woke up coughing at 1am and I went in to calm him down, his ball was curled up tightly under his arm and I had to find his car for him too before he would go back to bed.  The ball and car also made the trip to daycare today and the car went all the way inside while the ball just waited for him in the car.  But, as soon as we got back in the car after daycare, both were in his hands again the entire trip home!
