38 Week Check-up

Well, I had another OB appointment today.  Josh and I both guessed that I was not dilated at all; Josh thought I may be slightly effaced but I guessed nothing in that department either.  We were both wrong, I was 2-3 cm dilated and my cervix was soft.  She didn't mention how effaced I was but a soft cervix means that things are beginning to efface I think.  Anyway, who knows how much longer it will be but things are beginning to happen which is good!  I also found out that my doctor is going to be out of town from Friday night until the following Monday (9 days) so more than likely she will not be there for my delivery.  Bummer!  But doctor's need vacation too so that's just the way the ball bounces sometimes!  We will continue to keep everyone posted on how things are going.  Hopefully Baby Jack will be here sooner rather than later!
