Associations

I am constantly amazed at the associations that James is making!  We were watching Car 2 the other day and the cars were having a race on the dirt.  James let me know that the cars shouldn't be driving on the dirt because they didn't have bumpy tires!  (James has been getting lots of new Matchbox cars and has learned that the ones with bumpy tires can go on dirt roads and the ones with smooth tires go on the road.)  Well, I guess all the cars in the movie had smooth tires, not the bumpy tires they needed for the dirt roads.

Tonight as I was putting James to bed, I mentioned that maybe tomorrow we would run to the doggy store to bathe Captain.  He then asked about getting popcorn because Mommy ate it all.  He was right, the doggy store is next door to Trader Joe's so often times after we go to the doggie store, we go to Trader Joe's and get pirates booty (popcorn).  And he was right that we were out because I ate it all the other night.  Wow!!!!

Okay, one more thing that amazed me!  We have been working on letters and their sounds and watching Letter Factory from Leap Frog.  As we were turning it on this afternoon, I asked him the sounds of a few letters and he knew A, B, C, D, J, M, and S.  Let's just say that I am one very proud Mommy!!!!  I think we are going to have to start a little letter program here! 

As for Jack, I took some darling pictures today that I am going to have to upload tomorrow.  It's time for bed so we can hopefully get this family healthy before I have to go back to work on Wednesday!  BOOOO!!!!!
