Sunday Afternoon Fun

I forgot to tell you all about our Sunday afternoon and evening before posting the last blog.  

 Somehow after going back to work, I have a little more time on my hands.  I'm not exactly sure how this is happening but don't tell the kids because they will realize that they are making life too easy on me and have to change something!  Anyway, I have been making a point of doing some more fun things for myself lately (hence the book yesterday!) and a cute cake today!  James helped me pick this out of a cake book, James and Daddy picked out the yummy candies from the store, James and Daddy made the frosting colors, and Mommy and Daddy decorated it!  Okay, so it sounds more like Daddy made the cake but it was still fun and yummy!

After nap time, we headed over to Michelle and Gary's for a little BBQ and afternoon fun!  Michelle had found some water balloons so James was introduced to water balloons!  I think he approved!  In the end, James had to change all his clothes, Mommy had to change all her clothes, Jack had to change all his clothes (and diaper!), and Daddy had to change his shirt.  I guess that means that Daddy won!

We had a delicious dinner compliments of Michelle and Gary!  With only one problem... it was so good that Josh and I ate too much and had belly aches!  Then we went for a little stroll to the park to play on the playground and then strolled home for some yummy cake!

 Jack laid down on the ground to play while we all ate dinner.  James decided to join him after dinner.  Here are some absolutely darling pictures of the two of them!  My heart melts the way Jack is looking at James in this one!

I LOVE the way Jack has his fingers intertwined in this one!  Such little cuties!!!

I love how they are both looking at the book as if reading it together here!  James has his serious face on (just like Daddy!) and Jack is holding his hands together again.

All in all, a wonderful day for us!!!  Unfortunately, Gaga was not so lucky.  Gaga and Papa spent a fun weekend in Napa which was ended short when Gaga tripped and fell over a broken sidewalk while running on Sunday morning.  Gaga's fall resulted in some serious road rash and a broken elbow (radial head).  Ouch!    Gaga and Papa spent their Sunday afternoon in the ER with x-rays and a soft cast from fingers to shoulder.  Gaga will be visiting an orthopedist tomorrow to get more answers as far as where everything goes from here.  She is hoping for magic hands to miraculously cure her elbow but I think she will end up getting magic hands making a hard cast all the way up her left arm instead.  We'll keep our fingers crossed for her and positive thoughts going her way!
