Jack's Check-Up

Jack had his 4 month check-up today!  Where did the time go???  He is getting so big but I must say that he is getting to be so much more fun every day and such an amazingly wonderful baby!  I am waiting for everything to change because I'm not sure if babies are supposed to be this good!  He is back to waking up only once or twice a night to eat.  Once again, he eats and goes right back to sleep.  Occasionally, he will wake up at other times during the night but cry for a few minutes then suck his thumb and go right back to sleep.  During the day, he just goes along for the ride.  If he gets tired, he wants to be held but as long as he is being held, he is a happy camper!  As far as going to bed, I lay him down with his pacifier and he plays or fusses for 5-10 minutes and then happily goes to sleep!!!!  This one CONSTANTLY amazes me!!!!!  He is a quick little eater who will wait patiently until I have the time to feed him and he loves to play.  He has become a little smiling and laughing machine which is so crazy fun to watch and enjoy!

Back to the check-up... you can tell he is my second and he's an easy baby because we were in and out in less than 15 minutes.  With James, I always brought a list of 15 questions; with Jack, he's doing great and a great baby is all I have to say.  He weighed in at 15 lbs. 5 oz. (75th percentile) and 26 1/2 inches long (88th percentile).  He seems to me like he is bigger than James was but he is actually 7oz lighter and 1/2 inch shorter than James at the same age.  All in all, pretty darn close to the same size!  Jack did a great job with his shots and has been a great boy the rest of the day!

Today was an awesome day!!!  Both boys were great!  We all were healthy again so we could go have fun playing in the fountains, playing at the park, going on the little train, playing baseball and with water in the backyard, and just hanging out.  Mommy also got to clean the house (vacuum, mop, bathrooms, dust room, clean bath toys, clean sliding glass doors) while the boys took simultaneous 2 hour naps!!!!  All in all, a wonderful day!!!!  And now off for a run for Mommy hopefully since I got everything done!!!  Yeah!!!!
