Train Museum

On Tuesday, we took the light rail (commuter train) to Downtown Sacramento to the train museum with our friend, Miss Dawn, and her boys, Nathan and Zachary.  We had a great little trip there and enjoyed playing with the Thomas Trains at the museum.  On the way home, we were trying to run to make the train and missed it by one minute.  Bummer!  Question... why is it that James runs ahead of everyone most of the time but walks slower than a snail when you need him to hurry???  Ugh!!!  Well, I did my best to get him moving to make the train which resulted in a complete meltdown that went on and on.  At one point, I had Jack screaming in the Moby Wrap and James holding onto me screaming and Dawn just laughing at me!!!!  Thankfully, Dawn took Jack and I held onto James and started rocking him a little to help him calm down.  Well, he calmed down and FELL ASLEEP!!!  I was shocked!!!  When the train got there, I laid him down on the seat and he slept the entire train trip back!  Then Mommy had the fun treat of carrying Jack in the Moby on my front, all of our stuff in our backpack, and James on my hip across the parking lot to the car in 90 degree weather!!!  When we got home, I realized that James had a fever.... uh-oh!
